We are into October, and although we are experiencing some hot weather again, we know it is only a matter of time that our true Southern California fall weather will creep in. We’re getting our UGG boots and sweaters ready! We hope you are enjoying autumn and taking in the change of seasons.

Sober October has been gaining popularity over the past few years. It’s good to take a break from anything for a while, and 30 days without drinking alcohol is a way to give your body and mind a rest from alcohol and all the negative benefits that come along with it.

This week’s podcast, Dr. Hunter dissects what Sober October means and reflects on all the positive things she has experienced since she gave up alcohol:

Being comfortable is something we strive for, but it’s also important to challenge ourselves and get out of comfort zone. There is no growth if you’re always comfortable. Dr. Hunter inadvertently stepped out of her comfortable bubble lately with her trail running. And on this week’s podcast she shares her adventure, and what she learned from it.

On this week’s podcast…

Want a 30 day challenge? Sober October is when you do not drink alcohol for the entire month of October. This is gaining popularity in today’s culture to give people a break from drinking to enjoy some of the benefits of the NA (non-alcohol) lifestyle. Dr. Hunter discusses some benefits to giving up alcohol and chimes in how she has experienced all these positive side effects since she has given up drinking.
